The article examines the history of the green bond market formation and focuses on the issues of standardization and labeling. The authors present a new green bonds classification based on the most recent international methodological sources. In addition, the authors he made a conclusion about viability of utilizing green bonds for fulfilling the tasks of green growth in the Russia’s economy.
